Family Literacy
Using literacy activities to increase the frequency that families read to and engage in literacy activities with their children

The Smart Start Family Literacy Program utilizes the Every Child Ready to Read curriculum developed by the American Library Association and provides workshops and literacy activities at multiple locations throughout the county for families with children at risk for school failure including non-English speaking families.  For more information, call Union County Public Library at 704-283-8184, ext. 250.
